Winterline Info Night — October 18, 2011

Mark your calendars for the Groove Winter Season information, registration, and audition signup night. Auditions are required for all groups except Genesis.

When: Tuesday October 18th.
Where: Oak Hills Baptist, 6201 South Lyncrest Avenue. (1 block west of 69th and Minnesota)
Time:
6:30pm — Genesis, Next Step, Cadets, & Slam
7:30pm — Impact & Pursuit

We have a lot of exciting news to share this year, including a monthly automatic payment plan for membership dues and travel expenses (for Impact and Pursuit), dedicated Impact and Pursuit rehearsal nights (Impact: Tuesdays 6-9 / Pursuit: Thursday 5:00-9:30), Pursuit competing in WGI finals in Dayton, and much more.

We are looking forward to seeing each of you again this year!!

Be sure to invite your fellow percussionist or budding percussionists!!!

May Annual Planning Session

On May 7th we will have our annual planning session, and elect members for the board of directors for the next year. If any Farsight members or parents/grandparents/guardians of Groove members are interested in serving to continue the great tradition of Groove Inc. either as a board member or a committee member, I strongly encourage you to attend this meeting. Our organization runs on the volunteer efforts of the parents, and we need your help to ensure this great organization continues to thrive and grow. If you saw things we could do better, now is your chance to make a difference! Come join the fun! Your kids will notice and appreciate it (even if they don’t admit it!).

Our meeting will be held in the Ballroom of the Carpenter Hotel Building, downtown Sioux Falls, starting at 8:00 am with a short (hopefully) board meeting, then the annual planning session where we will map out the course for the organization for the next year, including electing some new board members. We expect to finish around noon. There will be some light breakfast snacks available (feel free to contribute something yourself if you wish). If you would like more info, or more specific directions, feel free to contact me.

Parent Meeting Reminder

Just a reminder: Parent informational meetings will take place during each group’s first rehearsal. Meetings will be around 15 minutes in length.

Also please note that dues are due at the first practice. Dues are as follows:

Genesis & Next Step: $300
Cadets & Slam: $350
Impact: $425
Pursuit: $475

Parent/Student Information & Audition Sign-up Night, Tuesday Oct. 19, 2010

6:30 pm for preschool through 8th grade — Genesis, Next Step, Cadets, & Slam,
7:30 pm for 9th grade through college — Impact & Pursuit, at 7:30 pm.

Where:

We will be having our parent meeting this Saturday, January 9th, at the Armory.

9:15 am - Genesis and Next Step Parent Meeting

10:00 am – Cadets parent meeting

2:00 pm – Slam parent meeting

Please try and make it as we will have updated information on the up coming pancake breakfast, and some other items to share.

November parent meetings will be held on Saturday, November 21 for Genesis, Next Step, Cadets, and Slam.

Genesis and Next Step will be at 9 am
Cadets at 10 am
Slam at 11 am

Sorry that we messed up our frist meeting with the parents, but we will get better at this ~ we promise.

Please bring your questions, or concerns to this meeting. Future parent meetings will be the first Saturday of the month, at the times listed above.
